Three new protocols for lignin characterization

You are welcome to order the analysis methods from us free of charge, and to discuss lignin properties, requirement specifications and analysis needs!

Since we think that a ‘common language’ for describing lignin characteristics is critical to be able to develop lignin, we want to contribute to this by sharing how we think lignin should be analyzed. We have previously shared four methods for determination of lignin purity. Now we add an additional purity method (determination of metals and sulphur) as well as two methods for characterization of molecular and thermal properties.

The methods are based on existing methods and ‘best practice’ for wood and pulp, and have been tested and, where necessary, adapted for lignin samples. Repeatability data have also been aquired.
